What we collect

Information you give us

The estimate and contact forms ask for your name, phone number, and the ZIP code or city you are in. Email, the type of work you need, and a description of the problem are optional. We use these to call you back about your request and for nothing else.

The forms also accept photos or video of your garage door. Photo uploads are optional. Anything you send is used to work out what parts the job needs, is attached to the email that reaches our technicians, and is not published on this site or anywhere else without asking you first.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server records standard request data: the page asked for, the time, the browser and operating system, and the IP address the request came from. This sits in the hosting log and is used for security and to see that the site is working.

Cookies and tracking

This site loads Google Tag Manager, container GTM-N4PKV376. Through it we run Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. These set cookies in your browser and can record which pages you saw, whether you clicked a phone number, and whether you submitted a form. Google Ads uses this to tell us which adverts produce real enquiries.

We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising cookies from any network other than Google, and we do not build profiles beyond what Google's own tools provide. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's own opt-out tools, and the site will still work.

What we do with it

Form data is emailed to our own inbox and written to a log file on the server that is not reachable from the web. We use it to contact you about your request, to schedule and carry out the work, and to keep a record of the job.

We may pass your details to a customer management system we use to track enquiries. We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we do not send marketing to people who only asked for an estimate.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and job records are kept while they are useful for servicing and warranty questions on work we did. Uploaded photos are kept with the enquiry they came with. Ask us to delete your record and we will, unless we are required to keep it for tax or legal reasons.

Security and other sites

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel over the same encrypted connection. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not.

This site links out to Google Maps, our Google Business Profile and our Instagram page. Those are other companies' services with their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.
