Who we are
770 Garage Door Repair is a residential garage door company based in San Diego and owned and operated by the people who do the work. It is a service-area business: there is no showroom to visit, and the technician who answers the phone is the one who arrives at the door.
We work across San Diego County, from the coast through central San Diego and out into North County. The Google Business Profile lists us as open 24 hours, and that is literal. Springs break at night.
What we are licensed to do
We hold California CSLB licence #1153151, classification D-28, Doors, Gates and Activating Devices. The licence is active, and we are bonded and insured. You can verify the number yourself on the CSLB website before you let anyone into your garage, and we would rather you did.
How we price work
The estimate is free and there is no obligation. The technician looks at the door, tests it under load, shows you the part that failed, and gives you the price before any work starts. Nothing is replaced without your say so, and there are no fees added afterwards.
What we will not do
- Tell you a door needs replacing when a part will fix it
- Disable a safety sensor to make a door close
- Fit a spring that is close but not correctly rated for your door
- Replace one spring on a two spring door and leave you the second call
- Start work before you have heard the price
